Church Visits
It was a blessing to visit some of our supporting churches this month. Both were significant visits because one of them has been supporting us from the day we were approved as missionaries- 5 years ago, and we had never visited them. The other church we had never been to as a family because when I presented at the church on deputation, Chelsea had to stay home due to COVID. What a blessing it was to visit these wonderful church families.
Milestones and Celebrations
We also had a few wonderful milestones to celebrate! Chase turned one month old, and we are so thankful for his life and good health. Chelsea celebrated her birthday, and we marked the occasion by purchasing our plane tickets back to South Sudan. In addition, we celebrated our 9-year wedding anniversary —a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness in every season.
Praises and Prayer Requests
We’re also thankful to share that Chase’s passport arrived this month! Lord willing, we will be flying out of St. Louis on September 22nd.

As we prepare to say our goodbyes, we ask for your prayers—particularly for our families—as we exchange hugs and say, “see you later.”

Once we land in Juba , life will quickly settle into a new rhythm. Lincoln will be starting Junior Kindergarten, and he is excited to return to his school and friends. We’re looking forward to being reunited with our community, to planting ourselves once again among our people, and to see all that the Lord will do in and through our family of four in this new season.

Our home church had Sunday evening services outside for part of the Summer. We were encouraged to see the youth lead worship one of the evenings.
