It is safe to say we have officially “settled” back into South Sudan. Everyday has been an encouragement to us! All areas of ministry seem to be growing, the team is working hard, and our children have adjusted well. We hope you celebrate with us as we share all the Lord has done in the month of October.

| When we first came back it was encouraging to see a great number in attendance for Wednesday night services. Every Sunday morning, we have visitors come for church and as a team we have made changes in our church seating arrangement to accommodate for the growing number of attenders! All three of our church choirs have grown, some even doubled compared to one- year ago. Friday night youth has gone from two rows to three rows of chairs! Even our daily staff devotion has grown. This past week we had thirty-five in attendance one day. The number of our staff devotion varies due to some workers who only come for a day (i.e. plumber, electrician, welder, etc.). Other areas of ministry that have grown are our ushers, hospitality department, and translation team! |

| We want to share the stories of those who have been saved this month: Mega Yeno came to Chelsea’s Tuesday afternoon Bible study as a first-time visitor. After the lesson they sat together, and Chelsea shared from the Bible how to get saved. Mega put her faith and trust in Jesus Christ that day, and now she is attending discipleship as well! Another woman came for church on a Wednesday evening, then came for women’s choir practice the next day, and the following Monday I sat with her and shared the gospel. The next day she came for our morning devotion and shared that she understood she was a sinner, that Jesus died for her sins, and she asked Jesus to forgive her of her sin! On a Sunday when the hospitality department met with the visitors, two of them got saved. The following Friday, Chelsea and Betty went to visit Evelyn. She has attended church several times before, is married to assistant pastor Mori’s brother, but has never fully understood salvation. That evening Evelyn was ready to be saved, and accepted Jesus as her Savior! The following Sunday we had a visitor who spoke Dinka. One of our youth girls speaks Dinka and English and was able to act as a translator. He got saved that day! It was encouraging to see this young teenage girl confidently help an older man understand how to get saved. These are our favorite stories to share. God is providing opportunities to share the gospel all the time! |
