We are almost one month into the new year and have seen God do some amazing things in the first weeks. Before we talk about 2024, there are many events we asked you to pray for around Christmas time, and we would like to share what God did at each of these activities.

We had a great time during our feeding program on the closing day. The kitchen staff and workers came together to pack enough food for each family to take with them for our ten-day break. On our closing day the children showed their parents what they have learned during their Bible lessons. Then we did a gospel message for the parents, and lastly the children were called one at a time to receive a Christmas present. It is such a fun and special time to spend with the families on our feeding program. |
|
Next, we prepared for all our Christmas activities, beginning with a Christmas Cantata. Many families travel during their school break, and we had a teenage girl, Sarah, who came to stay with one of our faithful choir members, Grace. Our program went on well, and afterward Sarah had questions about salvation. We are happy to say that she got saved that day! Our next Christmas events were a movie night on Christmas Eve then our Christmas Day service. We are happy to report that 2 more souls were saved through these events! Praise the Lord! |

In the month of January, it has been so encouraging to see more visitors coming to church on Sunday mornings. We are seeing many more men join us! What a change this is from January of 2023. Thank you for your prayers to see more men be involved in Bible Baptist Church, God is doing a great work in the men of our community! |
|
The third week in January was the final Bible Institute course followed by a comprehensive exam for all 18 courses the students have taken! We are happy to report that of the fourteen students who took the final, both men in our ministry passed and will be graduating next month with a certificate from this program. The week after the final some of the men came to our compound to sit with me and talk about the gospel. Praise the Lord, that Mok Jok prayed to receive Jesus as His savior that day!! What a blessing it is to see men who are religious leaders in the area learn the true gospel. Our hope is that Mok Jok will go back to his church and teach others what he has learned. This is how we can see the whole of South Sudan come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. |
