Greetings from America. We are enjoying a wonderful time with family, friends, and our home church. Many things happened in South Sudan during the month of October, before we left and while we have been in America. We are excited to share all the Lord is doing while we were there, and while we are away.

Hospitality Team Changing Lives
|
|
Within this year we have seen the hospitality ministry reach many of our visitors. Every Sunday after church we have a special time for visitors to come and sit with members of our hospitality team. They receive a water bottle and get a chance to share their story. We ask them to tell us what brought them to Bible Baptist Church in Juba. After some time of fellowship, we ask if we can share with them from the Bible. We share the gospel and most of the time the visitor is ready to get saved that day. In the month of October, we had a visitor saved every week, with a total of 11 getting saved this month! We have stories to share about 3 of these visitors. |

One day Dianna (Peter’s wife) was heading to the hospital to visit a man from our church who recently had surgery. On her way there, a woman got in the same tuk tuk (a taxi) and she needed to get to the hospital as soon as possible with her little girl who was having seizures. Dianna quickly changed her path and went with this woman to the hospital. She helped her find the right place to take her child and prayed with them that the girl would get better. After a couple of hours, she left them with a gospel tract with our church information and her phone number. The following Sunday Maria, the mom of the little girl, and her friend Lucia came to the church. After church the hospitality team sat with them and shared the gospel, both women got saved that day. Plus, the little girl was there feeling much better. |

Every time we drive Lincoln to school on the way we see a man sitting under a tree from morning until evening. One day we decided to stop and give him a gospel tract and invite him to our church. Chelsea got out of the car to give the man a tract. When she turned around, there were 10 other people around our vehicle who also wanted what we were giving out. We were once again reminded how hungry people are for God’s word. The following Sunday, our last day there, the hospitality team was meeting with 4 visitors and sharing the gospel with them. After some time, Betty, Mori’s wife, came to our house and said one of the visitors wanted to talk with us. When we went over there, a woman pulled a wrinkled gospel tract out of her purse. She was one of the people we invited under the tree. She came and she got saved! Praise the Lord! |
