We have so much to share from the month of September. It was a wonderful month full of so many blessings, salvation, and Spiritual growth.

On the 1st of September after church, we had a unique situation where we had multiple trainings going on. Typically, we arrange our trainings so that only one occurs in a week. Due to heavy rains the week before, we rescheduled Chelsea’s training for the parents who wanted to dedicate their children. So that Sunday, Saada had a training with the youth, the parents had a training regarding what child dedication is, and we had visitors who Peter shared the gospel with. We are happy to share that both the visitors, Jackson and Christopher, got saved that day. We also had 11 families ready to dedicate their child to the Lord the following Sunday. |
The following Saturday, September 7th, while on visitation, all the people we planned to visit were not home. However, God had a different plan. On the way back to the compound, we met a man named Benjamin, as we sat with him, he was interested to hear more about the love of God and how Jesus paid the price for our sins. That evening, he accepted the free gift of salvation. |
The next day, we had a great Sunday Service. One of our faithful men in the church brought his two children for child dedication. He invited two of his family members to come and celebrate the dedication, and on top of that it was his spiritual birthday! Issa was one of the masons who helped construct the second school building last year, and through the daily devotions Peter did, he understood he was a sinner in need of a savior and got saved that day. He has been a faithful church attendee, usher, and is growing spiritually through discipleship. That Sunday of his 1-year spiritual birthday became the day his two visitors, Simeon and Gloria accepted Christ! Praise the Lord! |
The following Sunday we had two children from English Sunday School plus two first time church visitors, Tabitha and William, get saved! After church, we went to a local hospital and prayed with the sick patients and one of them got saved! |
We spent time the next week to go and evangelize our community. On Monday, we went to a local elementary school and shared the gospel. That day many kids prayed for salvation. On Tuesday, we went to a village called Lominga where we found some construction workers, and 7 people got saved. On Wednesday, one of our youth spoke to men who sit under a tree in our community and one got saved! On Thursday, Peter went to a local school and shared the gospel and 14 got saved. One being the man who is the guard of the school compound, who happens to be the father of one of our faithful youth! On Friday, we went around and invited youth in our area to come for our youth night. One who accepted the invitation is the sister of Chelsea’s original tutor, Josephine. While she didn’t make a salvation decision that night, we were all very excited because we have been praying for her! |
While we don’t have space to share all that happened this month, we will end with a women’s conference we had on September 28th. There were over 100 in attendance with 4 women (1 of the women was Tabitha’s mom) and 2 men getting saved! What a month!!! |
It is hard to believe that we will be heading back to the States at the end of October this year. We will be on furlough until Mid-May of 2025. If your church is interested in having us present all that the Lord is doing in South Sudan, please contact us through e-mail: wilsons2southsudan@gmail.com. |
