What a wonderful month of ministry we had in July. We began the month with visitors, celebrated my birthday, celebrated South Sudan’s Independence Day, and had our first medical camp! Every day is an opportunity to teach others around us about Christ and His amazing love for us.

It was a blessing to have visitors come and see our feeding program and what God is doing in the lives of all the people involved. From the children who come, to the mothers who bring them, and those who prepare the food, God is doing great things! Steve Switzer and Dwayne Wright enjoyed seeing all that God is doing and were happy to help while they were here. They were a great encouragement to us as well. They were able to stay in our home, eat with us, and hear all that God is doing through the Bible Baptist Church in Juba. What a blessing to have these men take time to see the work with their own eyes! |

It was a pleasant surprise to discover a new hospital which is open 24 hours a day, clean, and only 5 minutes from our home. As Chelsea talked with the staff, the marketing director said it would be great to come to our church compound and do a medical camp. So that is just what we did. One Saturday in July, we provided a time for our community to come hear a clear presentation of the gospel as well as receive free testing for Hepatitis A and C, blood sugar, blood pressure, and malaria. The hospital also administered free deworming medication to the infants and children that day. We are happy to say that at least 5 individuals who have never come to our church before that day are still coming to church on Sundays and at least one of them has accepted Jesus as their Savior. We thank God for the creative ways we can reach our community so they can hear the gospel! |

School Still Saving Souls
We are at the halfway point of the school year and are happy to report that there have been 9 salvation decisions among the students. Additionally, during the last week in July one of our new teachers got saved after chapel. The school is not always an easy ministry because of government regulations, but to be able to report the salvations that are happening because of the school make it all worthwhile. |

Rainy season is in full swing, you can compare it to winter snow in America. If it rains here, our attendance is lower. While this is usually the case, one Sunday afternoon Chelsea was pleasantly surprised by the number of women who came to one of our church family’s house for women’s Bible Study. The women sat inside Julia’s home trying to hear one another over the pouring rain. The time together was so encouraging. It was a blessing that Rosemary, one of the women who attended women’s disciple making workshop, led our Bible Study. To see these women equipped to lead as we study God’s word is what we long to see in all believers! |

Preparations For Furlough
It is hard to believe that we will be heading back to the States at the end of October this year. We will be on furlough until Mid-May of 2025. If your church is interested in having us present all that the Lord is doing in South Sudan, please contact us through e-mail: wilsons2southsudan@gmail.com. |
